Farmers Market
Lafayette, Louisiana
Lafayette Jockey Lot Flea Market runs on a weekend rhythm in Lafayette, opening Saturdays and Sundays with a mix that leans more flea market than produce stand. Vendor spotlights point to the kind of range shoppers can expect, from booths focused on home and personal needs to sellers centered on dresses, jewelry, and handbags. The market’s own pages also show a calendar that extends beyond routine shopping, with gallery highlights including a Holiday Market, Spring Garage Sale, Fall Garage Sale, Chinese New Year, Halloween Event, and Fall Family Fest. That combination makes this a browse-first stop where the draw is variety across booths, seasonal happenings, and the chance to walk a large indoor market over the course of an afternoon.
Vendor-of-the-month profiles give the clearest picture of the merchandise here: booth-based shopping with named sellers, specific booth numbers, and categories that stretch from practical household items to fashion accessories. The emphasis is on browsing individual stalls rather than following a short, tightly edited product list, so it helps to think in terms of booths and specialties.
The event calendar adds another layer to the market’s mix. Past and recurring highlights shown in the market gallery and news include a Holiday Market, Spring Garage Sale, Fall Garage Sale, Chinese New Year, Halloween Event, Fall Family Fest, and a 2026 Spring Charity Garage Sale event.
No dogs are allowed in the buildings, which is one of the clearest policy details to plan around before you arrive. Parking is free, handicap parking is provided, and the buildings are paved for wheelchair access. The market also notes that a small number of wheelchairs are available upon request, which can matter for longer browsing visits across multiple booths. Admission is free every weekend, so the main variables are time and how much walking you want to do rather than ticketing or entry logistics. If you need to speak with the office, the market lists a phone number and says the office can be reached seven days a week at (337) 236-3532. Between the parking setup, paved buildings, and no-admission entry, this is a fairly straightforward market to fit into a Saturday or Sunday plan.
Free admission; free parking. ATM located right outside the office. Handicap parking and paved wheelchair access; small amount of wheelchairs available upon request. Lost and found available by inquiring at the office. No dogs allowed in the buildings.

Jockey Lot was an enjoyable place to visit. We found all of the vendors to be polite and helpful. The cheeseburger that we got from the food stand was fantastic.
I love this flea market but the star of the show is the little Mexican food truck called “Tacos El Buen Gusto”. They have the best carne asada tacos I have had in my entire life. We have started coming every Saturday just to have them for lunch. Delicious is not even a strong enough word. And they are always so kind.
Love ! Love! Love ! The Jockey Lot. Lots of vendors. Some really good deals ! Lots of parking. It's fun just to walk through. It's a huge flea market. They have several places selling excellent authentic Spanish meals !! Lots of boths selling baked goods and other yummy items. They have a dj that plays music. It's fun for the whole family !!!
We went on the wrong weekend. The prior had a big event so the week we went was scarce. It should pick back up. Great way to spend a morning. And we found they had places to do breakfast. Next time we will eat there.
Lots of vendors, food, nicknacs, and clothes. I must have missed the fresh fruits & veggie aisle. No fee to get in and plenty of free parking.
