Gray Street Farmers Market (GSFM) opens with a season start on Thursday, June 4, 2026, bringing fresh, locally grown food to downtown Louisville. The market is supported through UofL’s School of Public Health and Information Sciences and partners including Common Earth Gardens (Catholic Charities) and Louisville Metro Dept. of Public Health & Wellness. GSFM improves affordability through its Triple Dollars program, where SNAP benefits are matched and converted into wooden tokens for use with market vendors. Seniors (60+) who qualify can use SrFMNP benefits loaded onto a debit card to buy fresh, unprocessed, locally grown items at approved farmers markets. Visitors can stop by the information booth or email Mateo Barnett for more information.
Food access programs include Triple Dollars (SNAP Double Dollars) and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SrFMNP).
