Farmers Market
Vincennes, Indiana
Vincennes Historic Farmers Market sits within a city framework that also highlights the Riverfront Pavilion, the Wabash River, and the Riverwalk, giving this market a distinctly riverfront Vincennes setting rather than a generic downtown backdrop. The market’s own name places history at the center, and the City of Vincennes presents it as one of the city’s named events alongside other public happenings on its calendar. At 102 N. Second St., it reads as part of the city’s civic and event landscape, not a standalone pop-up, which helps explain why the market feels tied to Vincennes itself.
The City of Vincennes directly presents the Historic Farmers Market of Vincennes as part of its public-facing lineup of city events, placing it in the same municipal frame as other recurring activities rather than outside the city’s regular rhythm. That matters because the market is not floating without context: it is anchored to a city site, a city address, and a riverfront area marked by the Riverfront Pavilion, the Wabash River, and the Riverwalk.
The local emphasis also comes through in the company it keeps on the calendar. The same city event listings include Food Trucks on the Wabash, the Vincennes Historical Half Marathon, and First Fridays Artwalk, placing the market inside a broader pattern of public gatherings in Vincennes. Even with limited published detail, that civic placement gives the market a clear local role: it is part of how Vincennes organizes activity around shared places and named events.
What stands out here is less a published vendor roster than the market’s placement within Vincennes’s event calendar and riverfront setting. The city identifies the market by name and situates it among other public activities, so the strongest confirmed picture is a civic event anchored in a recognizable part of town.
The same city calendar also features Food Trucks on the Wabash, the Vincennes Historical Half Marathon, and First Fridays Artwalk, which helps place a market visit within a wider run of downtown and riverfront events.
No dogs are allowed, and restrooms are not available, so those two details are the biggest practical factors to plan around before heading to 102 N. Second St.. The market runs seasonally from May through October rather than year-round, which makes timing part of the trip planning as well.
The location is tied to central Vincennes and the riverfront area marked by the Riverfront Pavilion, the Wabash River, and the Riverwalk, giving you a clear geographic anchor even though published visitor logistics are otherwise sparse. Payment methods are indicated as clear in the market’s visitor details, but no SNAP/EBT information is provided here, and no parking, transit, accessibility, or rain-policy details are specified in the published materials used for this page. That makes this a market where the confirmed planning basics are season, address, dog policy, and restroom availability.
Free admission is stated for the event.

Very nice Farmers Market with a great selection of vendors. We regularly visit the soap, coffee, and baked goods vendors. Lots of products to pick from - crafts, fruits, veggies, and flowers to name a few. We'll stop by on Wednesday afternoon for Bobe-B-Q occasionally. This is a great attraction in Vincennes.
We enjoying going to the farmers market on Saturday mornings in the summer. They generally have a wide selection of produce that is reasonably priced. We can get pastries such as pies and cookies. Parking is fairly easy and close. The market is contained in a larger open sided pavilion so everything is protected from the sun and rain. Restrooms are convenient. This is a very nice farmers market for a small town.
Love to be able to buy and sell local foods and handmade crafts! The food is really good as well.
Impressive amount of options for a local market. My wife and I enjoy going to farmers markets and the folks here were very friendly. I do wish I would’ve gotten a pic to share 🙄
This was my first time visiting the farmers market this year. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have any craft vendors, but I did manage to get some melons, sweet corn, and new potatoes. All in all, a successful trip.
