The Pittsboro Farmers Market brings neighbors together on Saturdays to browse locally grown foods and seasonal offerings. In Summer 2011, the market highlights vegetable and fruit produce alongside perennial flowers and plants. Vendors also offer homemade sweet honey, and a new vendor joined to sell eggs every Saturday. The posts describe a strong community turnout despite drought and heat, with organizers encouraging continued support for locally grown food. The market closes after the summer run and plans are already underway for the next year.

One of the best places to go for the 4th of July!!! They have Wonderful fireworks and the atmosphere here is definitely all about the family.. They always have a live band and vendors. I believe most of their profits go to charity in the community. It's just a great place to take your family and enjoy your Independence Day!!! Happy 4th!!!
On every 4th of July we attend our towns fireworks, which I have to say rival any big city fireworks. We have a simple but beautiful parade in the afternoon, and in between the park has venders offering food to gadgets, and live music. If you ever want to enjoy the small town feel, this is the place to go.
This park is so nice and clean compared to most parks we go to.. my kids have fun, there is plenty of shade and space, bench to watch your kids play.. we will always be back :)
I use the walking path fairly often and once found that a bunch of bees had made a hive in the water fountain, and it was taken care of the next day. Drive slowly! There are children. Also, lots of potholes in the parking lot that will damage your car. I wish somebody would grade the dang parking lot.
Visited for the 4th of July festivities. Wish there would have been more activities other than just eating. Funny races or a dunk tank to raise money for a good cause, or pick a duck to pick a prize. Simple, cheap games for all ages and skill levels. :)
