Farmers Market
Edwardsville, Illinois
The Land of Goshen Community Market ties its identity to a mission: artists are expected to sell work that is unique and handmade by the artist, a standard that gives the market a clear maker-focused backbone alongside its farm vendors. In Edwardsville, the organization describes its goals as community gathering, downtown revitalization, and agricultural heritage, framing the market as more than a buying stop. That combination comes through in the vendor roster, which mixes orchard names, farms, bakeries, honey producers, studios, and woodworkers under one market banner.
The vendor list leans broad rather than narrow, with farm names, apple growers, mushroom producers, honey operations, bakers, sauce makers, potters, jewelers, and woodworking groups all appearing in the same season lineup. That mix fits the market's stated emphasis on local farmers, artisans, and makers, and the handmade-art requirement gives the craft side a defined standard.
The event calendar currently lists no upcoming events, so the Saturday market itself is the main draw right now.
No dogs are allowed, which is the clearest visit-planning rule to know before heading to 138 St. Louis St. The market runs Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and the posted schedule notes music on the Courthouse steps during that window. Restrooms are not available on-site, another detail worth planning around for families or anyone making a longer downtown stop. The market's goals also center on social gathering and downtown Edwardsville, so the setting is tied closely to the surrounding business district rather than a standalone fairground layout.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at The Land of Goshen Community Market, an important point if food-access benefits shape where you shop. The market also addresses payment questions in its public FAQ, indicating that payment methods are clearly communicated for shoppers planning purchases across food and handmade vendors.
Information Booth: purchase Goshen Market apparel/merchandise; use credit/debit card to buy Goshen Dollars (tokens spend like cash with all vendors); use LINK Card to get tokens and LINK match vouchers up to $25 per swipe; sign up to be a Foundation Cultivator; drop off compost for free (Good Dirt Composting Collective). Music: local musicians every Saturday of the season on Courthouse steps 9:00 am–Noon; visitors may bring folding chairs.

I always enjoy going to the Farmers market in Edwardsville on Saturday morning. Great, fresh food, fun atmosphere, very pleasant vendors. Parking can be tricky if you're not familiar with downtown Edwardsville.
Every time I visit my daughter she takes me to the farmer's market. It's adorable with a good variety of vendors.
Such a cute Saturday morning market in Edwardsville with a diverse mix of local vendors open late spring- middle of fall.
Small but cute community shoping. Lots of garden plants and vegetables. Eggs, milk, meats, breads, honey and jam. Local made goods, great people, dog and kid friendly. Live music too.
Great farmers market in downtown Edwardsville. Many great stands and fresh, high quality produce, eggs, meat, flowers, etc. Highly recommend and they have adjusted appropriately for the pandemic with limited entrances and exits with plenty of space to maintain social distancing.
