Farmers Market
Meridian, Idaho

Meridian Main Street Market ties its downtown Saturday market to the Meridian Development Corporation’s investment in local vitality, giving the market a civic anchor as well as a shopping one. Formerly known as the Meridian Youth Farmer’s Market, it now brings together local farmers, crafters, artisans, and youth vendors every Saturday in Meridian. The market runs on Broadway between Main Street and Meridian Road next to Meridian City Hall, placing it directly in the middle of downtown foot traffic. With a stated 66 vendors, the mix reaches beyond produce into bread, prepared food, farms, art, and small handmade businesses.
The market’s own history starts with a name change: Meridian Main Street Market was formerly the Meridian Youth Farmer’s Market, and it still describes itself as a place where local farmers, crafters, artisans, and youth engage in the community by selling their products each Saturday. That youth thread matters because it places younger sellers alongside established farm and craft businesses instead of separating them into a one-off program.
Its downtown role is also explicit. The Meridian Development Corporation and the City of Meridian describe the market as one way they are investing in downtown vitality, with MDC providing most of the startup funding and the City handling leadership and behind-the-scenes logistics. Management by Eventageous Idaho, LLC adds another named local operator to the structure behind the market.
The vendor roster points to a market with a broad downtown mix rather than a produce-only lineup, with farms, bakeries, prepared food sellers, glass artists, pet-focused businesses, and youth makers all appearing on the same map. Names on the lineup suggest a walk where food purchases and gift browsing happen side by side.
Every Saturday, the market also features live music, adding an event element to the shopping hours.
No dogs are allowed, which is the clearest planning detail to know before heading to Broadway with your Saturday routine. The market is set at 33 E. Broadway Ave., on Broadway between Main Street and Meridian Road next to Meridian City Hall, so downtown navigation is more useful than looking for a detached fairground-style site. The schedule is a compact four-hour window on Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., during the April 13 to October 12 season, so timing your visit around that midday close matters. The market also states that payment methods are clearly posted, which helps when you are buying from a mix of farms, bakers, food vendors, and makers.
Live music is offered every Saturday. Food trucks provide prepared food options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
