At the corner of Kamehameha Avenue and Mamo Street, Hilo Farmers Market anchors a downtown Hilo setting with a broad vendor mix and the market’s own "From Dawn til It's Gone!" tagline. The market is year-round and lists 150 vendors, giving this corner a notably wide spread of produce, prepared food, flowers, coffee, honey, gifts, and handmade cultural goods. That range comes through in the named vendors alone: tropical fruit, organic greens, Thai and Chinese dishes, Kona coffee, orchids, anthuriums, balsamics, and Native Hawaiian artwork all appear in the lineup.
The clearest pattern here is breadth: fruit and greens sit alongside hot meals, flowers, pantry goods, coffee, market-branded souvenirs, and handmade cultural pieces. With 150 vendors listed by the market, the selection reaches well beyond a produce-only stop.
No dogs are allowed, which is one of the clearest visit rules to plan around. Parking is comparatively straightforward for a downtown market: free street parking is available on surrounding streets with no meters to feed on market days, and the market specifically points drivers to Mamo Street, Kamehameha Avenue, and nearby side streets. Mo'oheau Park adds more parking across the street, and ADA-accessible parking is available near accessible market entrances. The market also notes that restrooms are not available, another practical detail to factor into the timing of your stop.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Hilo Farmers Market, and the market also references staff or volunteers who help with EBT and WIC transactions. Payment methods are presented clearly as part of the visit information, which is useful at a market with produce, prepared food, coffee, gifts, and other vendor categories in the mix.

The actual fresh produce part of the market is pretty small. But we had delicious rambutan for a great price $5 per lb. Bring cash! There is a large area for vendors selling jewelry and other crafts. I got a few lovely things. There are public bathrooms. There is a small coffee stand available also.
Visited on the big Wednesday Market. Overwhelming array of fresh fruits and vegetables, with a lot of items I have never seen before. Very friendly vendors and lots of handmade craft items. Highly recommended. There was even live music that realy sets the mood. Great location and plenty of free parking.
