Farmers Market
Rockmart, Georgia
Rockmart Farmers Market runs year-round on Thursdays in downtown Rockmart, giving the market a steady weekly rhythm instead of a short seasonal burst. The market is producer-only, so vendors bring what they grow, bake, mix, or make themselves rather than reselling from elsewhere. That shows up in the lineup: Certified Naturally Grown produce, naturally grown farm goods, fresh-cut flowers, baked European-style confections, frozen meals, soaps, candles, and other small-batch items all appear under one market name. For shoppers planning a weekday stop, it reads as a practical downtown market with a clear local-maker emphasis.
Producer-only rules shape the mix here, so the vendor roster leans toward goods tied directly to a farm, kitchen, or workshop rather than broad resale inventory. The current lineup spans fresh food first, then moves into preserved foods, flowers, bakery items, and handcrafted body-care and home goods.
One visitor also described seeing homemade baked goods, honey, local soaps, handmade items, and homemade dog treats at the market, which fits the maker-focused mix reflected in the vendor roster.
No dogs are allowed at Rockmart Farmers Market, a detail that can change plans before you head downtown. Parking also has one important boundary: Colony Bank’s parking lot is reserved for bank patrons, while downtown parking lots offer parking for market shoppers. The market opens at 2pm, and vendors set up before 2, so the stated opening time is the clearest arrival point for shopping rather than setup browsing. The market is located on Water Street in Rockmart, with the listed address at 108 Water St.. Restrooms are not available on site.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Rockmart Farmers Market. The market also highlights Double SNAP, and one visitor specifically noted that SNAP/EBT doubles on produce items. Another visitor noted that many vendors take cards but preferred to carry cash, which suggests payment options can vary by seller even when electronic payment is common.
Colony Bank's parking lot is for bank patrons; there is plenty of parking in the downtown parking lots. Market opens at 2pm and vendors set up prior to 2.
Outdoor market; closest GPS address is 108 Water St. Rockmart, GA 30153. Closed the week of Thanksgiving and 3 weeks at Christmas.

Every Thursday (excluding those that fall in November and December) find the finest fruit, produce and other homemade goodies delved out by the friendliest farmers and artisans. 2 - 6 PM on Thursday afternoons. A stop for me every week. Many vendors take plastic, but I always like to have cash. Be sure to support your local market for the healthiest and freshest produce.
I love the farmers market! Great people and great selection of produce. I did get totally ripped off by a peach vendor here though. I bought a box of peaches for $40 and they never ripened; they just rotted. I have purchased boxes of peaches before and never had this happen. This was the first for me and it's very disappointing. So buyer beware when you buy peaches. 😟
I love this market so much that I drive 40 minutes one way to go every Thursday. A mother and daughter team run it and they are the sweetest! The vendors have the highest quality products and unique options. They also double your SNAP/EBT!!! Their produce last forever as well.
Lots of farmers selling their organic food. Meats, veggies, bake goods, arts and crafts, plants and so much more. These people are so friendly. Do come on out and see for yourself.
