Farmers Market
Dahlonega, Georgia
Dahlonega Farmers Market sits within a downtown tied to the Georgia Downtown Association and a Main Street program recognized with a 2016 Great American Main Street Award, which gives this market a setting shaped by both local commerce and historic preservation. At Hancock Park, the vendor mix runs from farm-to-table beef and USDA-certified organic berries to greenhouse plants, baked goods, goat milk products, and garden advice, making the market feel closely tied to the wider rhythms of downtown Dahlonega rather than separate from them. The result is a market where produce, plants, pantry goods, and handmade items all share the same small-town footprint.
Hancock Park places the market directly in downtown Dahlonega, linking farm vendors and small makers to a district recognized by the Georgia Downtown Association and the National Main Street Center. That downtown focus matters here because the market roster is built around named growers, bakers, nurseries, and household-scale producers rather than anonymous stalls: K&P Farms brings farm-to-table Black Angus beef, Strawberry Roan Farms sells USDA-certified organic strawberries, produce, jam, and baked goods, and Georgia Mountain Master Gardeners come to answer questions. Even the mix of house plants, herbs, flowers, vegetables, soaps, candles, and sewn goods points to a market that supports local production beyond produce alone.
The lineup at Hancock Park leans broad rather than narrow, with farms, nurseries, bakers, body-care makers, and pet-focused vendors all represented. Expect a market where plants and farm goods carry as much weight as sweets and crafts, and where several vendors extend the agricultural side into soaps, lotions, jams, and garden know-how.
The downtown calendar also includes nearby events such as Appalachian Jam on Gold Museum Lawn and Dahlonega’s First Friday Concert Series, which can shape the feel of a market visit in the district. Plants are one of the clearest threads running through Dahlonega Farmers Market. At Hancock Park, that shows up in several forms at once: Donna S. Powell brings small house plants, Heartease Greenhouse grows herbs, flowers, and vegetables, Dreamcatcher Nursery LLC appears as a nursery vendor, and Tranquility Preservation centers its offerings on plants. That plant-heavy mix is reinforced by the presence of Georgia Mountain Master Gardeners, who come specifically to answer questions, giving the market a practical gardening dimension alongside shopping. In a downtown known for historic recognition and Main Street activity, that emphasis gives the market a grounded, grow-it-yourself feel: not just produce to carry home, but starts, flowers, and advice that connect the market to yards, porches, and gardens across Dahlonega.
No dogs are allowed, which is the detail most likely to change how you plan a visit. The market runs seasonally from May through October at Hancock Park rather than year-round, so timing matters if you are hoping for specific farm goods or plant starts. Restrooms are not available on-site, and payment methods are not clearly established in the market details, so it helps to arrive prepared for a simpler setup. Once you are there, the range goes beyond produce alone: gardeners can talk with Georgia Mountain Master Gardeners, while shoppers looking for pantry items, baked goods, soaps, candles, or pet treats will find those categories represented too.

So glad we have this market in our town!! Fresh wild flower bouquets, honey produce, goat milk soap, baked goods, freeze dried fruits and veggies, micro greens .... Parking is better if you come early and it's cooler and shaded.
Cute but small local farmers market. Great seasonal produce! Make sure to bring cash.
