Farmers Market
Washington, District of Columbia
Arcadia’s Mobile Market at the Children’s National Medical Center WIC Clinic connects a clinic setting with a nonprofit food-access mission rooted in the National Capital Region. Arcadia describes its work as building the health of land, food, and community “from the farm forward,” and that mission fits the Mobile Market format especially closely here. This Washington stop is part of an organization grounded in equity and focused on sustainable, just, and regenerative food-access solutions rather than a stand-alone retail market. For shoppers, that means the market’s identity is shaped as much by service and access as by the produce table itself.
Children’s National Medical Center WIC Clinic gives this stop a very specific local role: it places food access directly alongside a site already serving WIC participants. Arcadia is a nonprofit rooted in the National Capital Region, and its stated mission centers on cultivating regional food systems that support the health of land, food, and communities.
That mission is not abstract here. Arcadia says its Mobile Market makes stops in low-food-access neighborhoods and accepts and doubles the face value of SNAP, WIC, and Senior FMNP benefits. The organization also frames its work around equity, history, and food sovereignty, which gives this clinic-based stop a clear place in a larger regional effort to improve access through practical buying power, not just availability.
This stop is defined more by Arcadia’s food-access model and partner network than by an individually listed vendor roster. The organization materials tie the Mobile Market to farm, education, and foodshed work across the region, which helps explain the emphasis here.
No dogs are allowed at this stop, a useful detail if you’re planning to combine the visit with other errands around 111 Michigan Ave NW. The market operates seasonally from May through November rather than year-round, so timing matters. Restrooms are not available on site, which is worth factoring in for families visiting the clinic and market in one trip.
The location is the Children’s National Medical Center WIC Clinic, not a park or plaza market, so the setting is tied to a medical campus at 111 Michigan Ave NW in Washington. Arcadia’s Mobile Market is part of a broader nonprofit program rather than a large, independently branded vendor market, and that shapes expectations around scale and setup.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Arcadia’s Mobile Market. Arcadia also states that the Mobile Market doubles the face value of SNAP, WIC, and Senior FMNP benefits, making this stop especially useful for shoppers using nutrition assistance at the Children’s National Medical Center WIC Clinic.
Accepts and doubles the face value of food stamps (SNAP, WIC, and Senior FMNP).

My son had gastroenteritis and was severely dehydrated. I arrived around midnight and within 15 minutes the team had already taken care of him and started IV fluids. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Thank you again for your care.
I THANK YOU- P.A. Aiden James- for totally following tradition prescription for a toddler diaper rash that was not treated responsibly on several visits causing reoccurring over two month!. Im not sure why pediatric treatment would not apply successful meds that always worked- children cannot be pharmaceutical guinea pigs!!
Amazing care and compassion. The staff was kind, patient, and made my child feel safe and comfortable. The doctors were attentive and reassuring. We’re very grateful for the care we received.
Sean was AMAZING during my daughter’s sleep study. He was very kid-friendly and attentive to both of our needs making sure we were as comfortable as possible. He was easing my daughter’s mind about doing it since we got there letting her know she was going to be just fine.
We have received the best treatment today at radiology department. Thank you from bottom of my heart to the whole team. Can’t wish for better care. My child was treated with care, patience and great attention. Thanks again, you are doing wonderful work!
