Farmers Market
Lakewood, Colorado
Belmar Fresh Market comes from the Colorado Fresh Markets orbit, a group with a public footprint that includes USA TODAY among its named partners. That connection matters because the same organization says it has been creating events in Colorado since 1990 and consulting on new and existing events across the state and country. In Lakewood, the market sits at Wadsworth & Alameda, placing it at a major local crossroads rather than a tucked-away lot. The result is a seasonal market with a defined May-to-September run and a parent organization that frames its work around welcoming gathering places and enjoyable experiences.
Colorado Fresh Markets says it has provided financial support to new and small-scale growers since 1997, with more than $500,000 contributed to help local vendors market their products. That matters for Belmar Fresh Market because the market is part of a wider Colorado Fresh Markets network rather than a one-off event, tying a Lakewood shopping trip to an organization that explicitly invests in agricultural producers.
The local angle also shows up in the group’s Colorado-specific work. Colorado Fresh Markets says it has created dozens of events in Colorado and consulted for events across the state. Its listed relationships with Hunger Free Colorado, the Colorado Farmers Market Association, and the National Western Center place Belmar Fresh Market inside a set of Colorado food and market institutions, not apart from them.
Belmar Fresh Market is presented less through individual vendor rosters than through the programs and partnerships around it. The clearest on-page emphasis is Colorado Fresh Markets’ event-making work, grower support, and collaborations tied to food access, agriculture, and community projects.
No dogs is the clearest visitor rule to plan around. If you usually fold a market stop into a walk with a pet, Belmar Fresh Market is one to approach differently. Another practical detail: vendor testimonials for Colorado Fresh Markets say parking and load-in/load-out are easy, with the ability to park and unload or load merchandise right next to the vendor spot. That statement is aimed at sellers, but it signals an access pattern centered on straightforward vehicle logistics rather than a long haul from distant parking.
The market runs on a seasonal schedule from May through September, so it is not a year-round weekly option in Lakewood. Colorado Fresh Markets also lists Chris Burke and Michele Burke with the organization, useful context for recognizing the team behind the market operation.
Vendor testimonials state that parking and load-in/load-out are easy, with the ability to park and unload/load merchandise right next to the vendor spot.
Parking convenience for vendors is explicitly mentioned in testimonials; live music is listed among market offerings.

We got delicious sourdough bread and the amazon return counter is fire 🔥 Everything seems really structured and nice here, would recommend a visit. Parking is acceptable, wheelchair accessible and reasonable for thr shopping area. There are two entrances, but the one to the right of the building is the way to start. Self checkout is plentiful and the checkout process is really quick either way!!
The belmar whole foods offers great steak options that are fresh. I also enjoy their sliced cheese and meat but depending on who's working it can take a while at the meat counter. They have a wonderful hot bar offering 15 different kinds of soup, hot items and salad items, it's honestly a huge salad bar. They also offer a bird's-eye restaurant you can order from located in the produce area, I ordered a delicious salad that was ready in less than 5 min and was delicious. I would park in the parking garage and walk up as it's very fast and convenient and better than parking on the top level...
Very fresh and well-prepared sushi! It’s rare to find a good selection at Whole Foods these days, but this location really delivers the sushi here is always fresh and nicely put together. Great spot if you’re craving something quick and good quality.
Rude dude in the pizza section either burns the pizza or doesn’t make any at all. Love they for us looking for a quick dinner on the weekend. This is a repeated thing, please help this guy do this job! It’s January 11 then we’re still having a pizza problem. There’s no reason why at 2 o’clock on a Sunday there’s nothing on the line and literally nothing being prepared
Food was good, lots of places to sit and eat, but half of salad bar was a wreck. No salads in some of the trays at 2:15 pm this last Friday. Many other offerings were empty or very old. They now have hot salmon dishes which is great. Staff were very nice and helpful. Free parking underground is nice and lots of places open. Aisles are fairly crowded with people, but that just indicates the store's popularity
