Farmers Market
Denver, Colorado
City Park Esplanade Fresh Market comes from the same Colorado Fresh Markets organization whose work has been connected with USA TODAY, placing this Denver stop inside a longer-running event operation rather than a one-off market effort. Colorado Fresh Markets says it has been creating events in Colorado since 1990 and focuses on welcoming gathering places and enjoyable experiences, which gives this market a clear institutional backbone. For shoppers, that points to a market shaped by an operator that works across multiple events and public-facing spaces in Colorado.
Colorado Fresh Markets says it has curated dozens of events in Colorado since 1990 and has also consulted for new and existing events across the state and the country, tying City Park Esplanade Fresh Market to a long-standing Colorado-based event maker rather than an isolated seasonal pop-up. That local role extends beyond staging markets. The organization says it has provided financial support to new and small-scale growers since 1997 and has contributed more than $500,000 to help local vendors market their products.
The market also sits within a network of Colorado agriculture and public-market relationships, including ties to Hunger Free Colorado, the Boulder County Farmers Market, the Colorado Farmers Market Association, the Colorado Proud Board, and the Future of Agriculture Committee. Those connections place the market inside a broader local food infrastructure, not just a weekly sales site.
This market is presented through Colorado Fresh Markets, an organization centered on creating outdoor events and supporting local vendors, so the strongest through-line here is the operator behind the market rather than a published vendor roster. Even without named sellers in the current materials, the surrounding organizations point toward food, agriculture, and public-market programming with Colorado roots.
No dogs is the clearest day-of-visit rule, so plan to leave pets at home. Another practical point: restrooms are not available on site, which can shape how long you stay and whether you want to make a stop before arriving. Vendor feedback also points to easy parking and load-in or load-out close to booth spaces, a useful note if you are vending or coordinating pickups.
The season runs from May through November, so this is not a year-round market stop. Payment methods are clearly communicated, which makes it easier to plan how you will shop once you arrive. The market is run by Colorado Fresh Markets founders Chris and Michele Burke, the team behind the organization’s broader event work in Colorado.
Vendor feedback indicates easy parking and load-in/load-out close to booth spaces.
Live music is listed as part of the market experience. Parking convenience is mentioned in vendor testimonials (close to booth space for load in/out).

It was our first time here and we were amazed by the size of this farmer market. A lot of food choices form Asian food to Mexican food. Theres some baked goods too and all kind of drinks to choose from lemonade to iced coffee, smoothies.... free parking garage that's within walking distance of the market. I would come here early to avoid the heat since they open it at 8am. Definitely recommend it to everyone
This market is so welcoming and offers such a variety of vendors. I love getting to talk with the different farms about the produce that they grow. I love being able to shop local and have a connection with the people who are growing the food. It also has a great selection of food trucks/vendors
great farmers market, i appreciated the layout that is easy to navigate and the variety and friendliness of vendors. there were so so many delicious looking food vendors/restaurants, will definitely come for lunch sometime. there’s some shady areas that are great for sitting with a picnic blanket. the prices of produce seemed high to me, like way higher than you’d see in a grocery store (e.g. $5 for kale or a bunch of carrots which are $1-2 at most stores), but i haven’t gone to a lot of farmers markets so i don’t know what’s the norm for that. i suppose that’s the premium you pay for fresh...
Man o man! What a blast. I'm truly glad I found this market. So many cool vendors in one spot. Had everything from food trucks to local food stands to craft vendors and of course some great farm stands with fresh produce. A couple shout outs to Savory Saigon, Taeko-san Takeout, Green Belly, Denver Pops. Such a great way to spend a saturday morning.
The BEST part of Denver in the summer is the city park farmers market. My favorite people are here every Saturday including - the green bus cafe - pandemic donuts - the easy vegan - PB Love Colorado - rebel bread - Sustainable Products booth (Im spacing on the booth name) For more denver reviews follow me on Instagram @googlefiles and here on google maps
