Farmers Market
Salinas, California
Everyone’s Harvest runs the Salinas Valley Memioral Healthcare Certified Farmers' Market with a mission centered on access to healthy, affordable fruits and vegetables in Monterey County. In Salinas, that mission takes shape at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, where the market is supported and funded by Salinas Valley Health. The Friday schedule places prepared food vendors, bread bakers, beverage makers, and produce sellers in one stop, giving this market a practical lunch-hour rhythm as much as a grocery errand. For shoppers using food assistance, EBT acceptance and Market Match add another layer of access on site.
Salinas Valley Health supports and funds this market, tying it directly to a healthcare institution rather than treating it as a stand-alone retail event. Everyone’s Harvest, the organizer, frames its broader work around expanding access to healthy, affordable fruits and vegetables in Monterey County, and this market is one of the places where that mission becomes tangible each week. The connection goes further through Fresh Rx, a program supported by Salinas Valley Health and available through Central California Alliance for Health’s Community Supports program. That makes this market part of a local network linking food access, Medi-Cal enrollment pathways, and nonprofit market operations in Salinas and the wider county.
The vendor lineup here leans heavily toward ready-to-eat lunch options, breads, drinks, sweets, and snack stops, with a smaller number of named produce-oriented sellers mixed in. That gives the market a distinct midday feel at the hospital site, where shoppers can pick up a meal, grab bread or tea, and add fruit or specialty items in the same pass.
Everyone’s Harvest also programs cooking and music at other county markets, including a cooking demo with Chef Emily Reistetter at the Natividad Farmers’ Market and a bluegrass set by the Otter Opry Boys at the Seaside Farmers’ Market.
No dogs are allowed, which is one of the clearest planning details for this market if you usually shop with a pet. Free parking is available next to the SVH Market, a useful detail at a hospital-based location where parking can shape how long a stop feels. The market is located at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital at 450 East Romie Lane in Salinas, so first-time visitors should head to the hospital campus rather than looking for a separate downtown plaza setup. If you plan to use EBT or Market Match, the Information Booth is the place to ask questions on site.
The market accepts EBT and runs Market Match for EBT customers, increasing spending power at the market. WIC and Senior FMNP benefits are accepted as well, giving shoppers multiple ways to pay for eligible food purchases. For anyone using these programs, the Information Booth is the key on-site stop.
Free parking is available next to the SVH Market.
Seasonally open May to November; rain or shine. Free parking is available next to the SVH Market.
