Farmers Market
Pleasant Hill, California
Pleasant Hill Farmers' Market is part of PCFMA, the nonprofit market operator founded in 1988 with a mission to support California farmers and communities through farmers' markets across the Bay Area. That mission gives this market a clear frame: a seasonal neighborhood stop where shopping connects directly to California growers and food producers. The market runs at Gregory Lane and Trelany Rd. in Pleasant Hill, placing it squarely into everyday local routines rather than a destination setting. For shoppers, the draw is straightforward: a PCFMA market with California farm products, a seasonal run from May through November, and SNAP access that keeps fresh food more reachable.
The mix highlighted here leans toward California farm production with an emphasis on ingredients that come straight from named growers and makers rather than a long roster of prepared foods. Even the two featured vendors point in that direction: long-running produce cultivation on one hand, and dairy, citrus, and pasture-raised livestock products on the other.
Together, those vendors sketch a market centered on California agricultural producers: vegetables and fruit from a multigenerational coastal farm, plus cheese, citrus, and pork from a family ranch and creamery.
No dogs are allowed at Pleasant Hill Farmers' Market, so anyone planning a stop with a pet will need to adjust before arriving. Restrooms are also marked unavailable, another detail that can affect the shape and length of a visit. The market is located at Gregory Lane and Trelany Rd. in Pleasant Hill and operates as a seasonal market from May through November rather than year-round. PCFMA also connects its markets to family-focused food education through the Power of Produce Club, which introduces kids to fruits, vegetables, and farmers through in-market activities at PCFMA farmers' markets. That wider PCFMA context helps explain the market's emphasis on direct farmer connections and practical fresh-food shopping.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Pleasant Hill Farmers' Market through PCFMA, and the organization also notes Market Match as part of its effort to make fresh food more affordable. PCFMA further states that its farmers' markets accept WIC-FMNP coupons alongside EBT and Market Match, adding another useful payment detail for eligible shoppers.
Market Match and WIC-FMNP/CalFresh-EBT acceptance are described for PCFMA farmers’ markets; specific amenities like restrooms, parking, seating, live music, and dog-friendliness are not stated for Pleasant Hill Farmers' Market in the scraped content.

Kind of small, but still decent. I'm not sure if (and what kind of) live bands perform every Saturday, but the Saturday I came was nice. The band played R&B and it was okay (i.e. not hurting my ears).
Warning: it isn’t opening currently on Tuesday 8/16/19. I came here and didn’t see any farmers, and it is currently in opening season shown on the website. Please double check before coming. I used to shop here and I really liked it.
Ever since they changed to an evening market the booths and the services have improved exponentially.
