Farmers Market
Orinda, California
Orinda Way in Orinda Village sets the scene for this Saturday market, where shoppers browse outside and catch live music as they move between stands. The market’s own emphasis is straightforward: locally grown produce from California farmers, paired with the experience of shopping in the open air with music in the background. One visitor described it as a great little market with a good selection of produce and specialty foods, plus ready-made options including bao, crepes, Thai food, bakery items, meat, and cheese. Another visitor highlighted access to local farmers, farms, and even local bees, pointing to the direct producer connection that shapes a visit here.
California-grown produce is the clearest throughline here, but the market also reads as a place where groceries and ready-to-eat foods share the same trip. Visitor descriptions add useful texture: specialty foods sit alongside prepared dishes, meat, cheese, bakery items, and products connected to local bees.
Live music is part of the market experience while shopping outside.
No dogs are allowed, a detail that can change plans before you leave home. The market runs year-round on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm, making it a consistent weekly stop rather than a short seasonal window. The setting is outdoors on Orinda Way in Orinda Village, and live music is part of the shopping experience there. Restrooms are not available, so it helps to plan the visit as a shorter errand or combine it with other stops in the village area. One visitor specifically called out easy parking along with produce and specialty foods, which may matter if you are deciding how simple the stop will feel on a Saturday. Another visitor emphasized access to farmers, farms, and local bees, suggesting that conversations with producers are part of what people value here.
Live music is available while shopping outside; an information booth is available for learning about producers and picking up Edible East Bay and recipes.
