On Saturdays, Nevada City Farmers Market brings together regional, sustainable producers and shoppers for a community-focused market experience. During the summer season, it runs outdoors on Union Street from late April through mid-December, and in winter it continues on Saturdays indoors at the Sierra Academy for Expeditionary Learning. Live music is listed every Saturday by local musicians, weather dependent. The market also supports nutrition access: EBT/SNAP recipients can trade benefits for $1 wooden tokens at the NCFM Info Booth, and WIC + S FMNP are authorized.

It’s such a joy to have the market every Saturday. We have a nice variety of vendors. I regularly pick up produce (greens & mushrooms mostly) and I always opt for a hot tea or coffee. They also have a wide variety of food (traditional American cuisine as well as Ethiopian & Indian just to name a few options.
Stopped by the Farmers market in central Nevada city on a weekend while spending a week in Nevada city and the Sierras. Excellent Local fruit vegetables and crafts. Check out the lady selling excellent olive oil products.
What a wonderful place to check out on a Saturday morning. Grab your local goodies and bring an insulated bag and get a coffee or breakfast nearby. It a wonderful Sierra Foothills experience!
This is one of the cozier farmers markets that I've been to: maybe 25 vendors at most and I would usually need a map, but not here. I think there is a nice variety of produce, dairy, bath/home goods -- but I think one of the stand-out market stalls was the lady with the bread. Apparently she makes her own sourdough starter and the rye we had was delicious.
It was great walking around to all of the different vendors and checking everything out. So glad we were able to catch this market on our way home from camping.
