Farmers Market
Martinez, California
Martinez Farmers' Market runs under PCFMA, the nonprofit founded in 1988 with a mission to support California farmers and communities through farmers' markets across the Bay Area. That mission-driven frame matters here because the market pairs a weekly downtown stop in Martinez with programs aimed at food access and direct support for farmers. Set at Main St. and Estudillo, the market gives Sunday shoppers a regular place to buy from farm and food businesses connected to PCFMA's wider network, including vendors listed for this market such as Alhambra Valley Pears & Beef and Alkaline7.
The clearest throughline at Martinez Farmers' Market is a compact vendor mix tied to named producers in the PCFMA orbit rather than a long category list. Even with limited public vendor detail, the market points to a combination of farm goods and specialty food businesses anchored by repeat agricultural sellers and prepared-product makers.
No dogs are allowed at Martinez Farmers' Market, which is the detail most likely to change how you plan a Sunday visit. The market operates at Main St. and Estudillo in Martinez and runs year-round on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., making it a consistent weekly option rather than a short seasonal market. Restrooms are marked unavailable in the visitor details, so this is a market to approach as a shorter errand stop rather than a long stay built around on-site facilities. Payment methods are identified clearly by the operator, which helps when you are deciding how to pay across different stands.
SNAP EBT is accepted at Martinez Farmers' Market through PCFMA, and the organization also promotes Market Match alongside WIC-FMNP and EBT as part of its fresh-food affordability programs. For shoppers using nutrition benefits, that makes this market more than a cash-only produce stop: it sits within a system built to support food access while directing dollars to California farmers.
Market information booth is referenced for CalFresh/EBT use and Market Match steps.

I have to do a shout out for our Martinez farmers market. It is a year-round market that is amazing. They have a major variety of fruits and vegetables meats, fish, eggs, cheese, baked goods, fresh food cooked on the spot, I can go on and on. If you have not checked out our market yet, I suggest you give it a try. I go every Sunday and they are open from nine till one.
Always a great time at the farmers market. There’s always live music. Most of the fresh produce/fruit stands offer samples of the sweetest in season fruits. Grab yourself some Holey donuts, super fluffy and lightly sweetened. I also recommend the fresh apple cider stand, sample away but do grab a few cold ones for later. Bathrooms are located inside Market on Main in the back.
There are many vendors. I love the seasonal produce, the hot food, baked goods soaps etc. Little boutiques have opening up on the main strip as well. There are also a few great coffee shops and food takeout. You can make a fun afternoon out of the experience.
Great little farmers market! Wonderful organic produce locally farmed! Better quality than the supermarket and for less money! Part of my Sunday ritual. Since it's right downtown and by 2 parks I can have brunch hit the market and take munchkin to the park! Plenty of parking
I enjoy this Farmers market. It is smaller, a little less crowded than the Concord one (that one is great too). If I miss the one on Tuesday, I like to come to this one.
