Farmers Market
Los Angeles, California
3826 Grand View Blvd at Venice Blvd places Mar Vista Farmers' Market right in its neighborhood crossroads, where the market identifies itself as a Certified Farmers Market selling fruits, flowers, and vegetables directly to consumers from California family farms. That framing matters here: the market pairs farm stands with a notably long prepared-food roster, so a Sunday visit can lean just as easily toward a produce shop as a brunch stop. The result is a market that feels rooted in everyday shopping rather than a once-in-a-while outing, with California-grown staples up front and ready-to-eat options filling out the morning.
The vendor mix stretches well beyond a single errand. Organic produce growers, flowers, cheese, honey, seafood, baked goods, juices, and prepared foods all appear on the roster, giving the market a strong split between raw ingredients and Sunday meal options.
No dogs are allowed, which is the detail most likely to change a Sunday plan before you leave home. The market runs year-round on Sundays from 9 to 2, so it fits a weekly grocery rhythm rather than a short seasonal window. Restrooms are not available on site, another practical point worth factoring into a longer visit. The market also presents itself as a Certified Farmers Market focused on direct sales from California family farms, useful context if you prioritize farm-origin shopping over a general street fair mix. If you're coming mainly for prepared food, the roster is substantial enough to shape the visit around brunch as much as produce.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Mar Vista Farmers' Market, which makes the market usable for both staple shopping and prepared-food browsing in the same trip. Payment methods are presented clearly by the market, and SNAP acceptance is specifically confirmed on the market's own site.
Open rain or shine (except major holidays). Dining tents provide seating; grab-and-go and pre-packaged foods are available.

Anna's Seafood has a regular booth at the Mar Vista Farmer's Market every Sunday. They sell fresh fish of all kinds from the Pacific Ocean. Their Crab Cioppino is prepared fresh and I purchased 32 ounces of it this past Sunday, heated it up at home and enjoyed it for dinner. It contained half a whole crab, shrimp, scallops and white fish. It was absolutely delicious.
Idk why people say there's a friendly atmosphere. Everyone is mad here. People mad because a stroller ran over their foot, people mad in the strawberry line, mad cause it's too crowded and everyone is blocking the way, people mad about vegetables, mad about people taking to long to pick a lettuce. Everyone is really worked up wondering if anyone is watching them n judging their selection of subbar produce. The vendors r not even happy to c u. They wish you'd put down a benjamin and buzz off no change. It's such a fragile and tense atmosphere I go every sunday
What can I say that all the westsiders already know, well if you haven't been you should they have everything you could want bread, juice, fish, honey, soap, remedys just about anything you need come check it out...
Best farmers market on Sunday. They have all the fruit and veggies needed. They have so many vegan options such as vegan cheese stand, dumpling and coffee. They have gluten free bread, pupusas and arepas vegan and gluten free and even vegan and gluten free veggie empanadas. So many options. Great salsa, coconut milk and Korean stand
I go every Sunday at 9 am when it opens (for optimal parking options). Lots of fresh, organic produce & fruit, plus lots of other goodies (pies, empanadas, coffee, handmade soap, wine, plants, etc..). El Machete is one of my favs. Great avocado salsa.
