Night Market
Hanford, California
Main Street Hanford Thursday Night Market Place sits within the orbit of the Kings County Department of Public Health, linking the market to a named local public institution rather than a standalone pop-up. In Hanford, that places the Thursday evening market inside a broader downtown civic network that also includes the City of Hanford and the City of Hanford Police K9 Foundation. The setting centers on Downtown Hanford, with Civic Park appearing alongside the district in the organization’s event footprint, giving the market a distinctly downtown, after-work rhythm. It runs on Thursday nights from May into October, shaping it as a warm-season evening stop rather than a morning errand.
Civic Park and Downtown Hanford show up repeatedly in Main Street Hanford’s programming, tying the Thursday Night Market Place to the same public-facing spaces used for larger local events. That matters because this market operates as part of Main Street Hanford’s downtown calendar, not as an isolated retail event. The organization’s listed partners include the Kings County Department of Public Health, the City of Hanford, and the City of Hanford Police K9 Foundation, a mix that points to public-health, municipal, and local fundraising connections around the market’s host organization.
Main Street Hanford also anchors recurring town events such as the Blues & Roots Festival, Witches Night Out, Christmas Tree Walk, Everybody's Irish, and Oktoberfest, which situates the Thursday market within an established downtown event culture rather than a one-off seasonal series.
The clearest picture here is less about named vendors and more about the downtown event setting that surrounds the market. Main Street Hanford places the Thursday night market alongside festivals and public gatherings centered in Civic Park and Downtown Hanford, so visitors should expect an evening market shaped by that broader calendar.
Main Street Hanford’s calendar includes the Blues & Roots Festival in Civic Park and Witches Night Out in downtown Hanford, reinforcing the market’s place inside a larger evening-events pattern.
No dogs are allowed, which is the detail most likely to change your plan before heading downtown. The market is held at 219 W. Lacey Blvd. on Thursday evenings, so timing it as an after-work stop makes more sense than treating it like a morning farmers market run. It operates seasonally from May through October, with the evening window running from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Restrooms are not available on site, another practical point to factor in before you arrive.
For direct questions, the listed phone number is 559.582.9457, and the market is presented under Main Street Hanford’s downtown programming rather than as a separate stand-alone operation.
SNAP EBT is accepted at Main Street Hanford Thursday Night Market Place, an important detail for shoppers planning food purchases here. Payment methods are otherwise marked as clear, which suggests shoppers can expect posted guidance on how transactions are handled at the market. The market’s public-health partnership with the Kings County Department of Public Health adds another local institutional link around food access in this setting.
Vendors accept credit cards and contactless payments. EBT is accepted via Main Street Hanford booth to receive EBT tokens. Market is held rain or shine; if temperature reaches 106 degrees, the market is canceled by 10 a.m. on Tuesday of the week of the market.

This was the first year I went to this event. It's been going on since 2000. Parking can be hard to find if you don't arrive early. And it's busy. You could find 10-15 different food operators there. About 2-4 farmer stands selling vegetables and fruits and countless others selling personal items. You find everything from Hawaiian, Japanese, Burgers, BBQ, Mexican, Greek Yogurt, Sourdough bread selling there. They have an area reserved for bands to play where you can dance, watch them and have alcohol. Overall, a great place to take the family, dates or even solo. There's a little bit for...
More of an entertainment venue than a farmers market. Very little produce sold here. They do have a live band, a large beer garden, dancing and beer though. They have food trucks and a little local produce thrown in. It gets very busy when the weather is nice and does not happen after it' gets cold so it runs from about March until the end of October (I may be off on my starting month).
Always a good time, tons of different vendors selling arts & crafts, fresh food, fresh produce, jewelry, and more. With all the options you have to choose from you will for sure find something for the whole family. One of the main reasons we go is for the Greek stand that is there every year, he's a super friendly gentleman, you can sample everything he sells so you don't end up buying something you don't like. And if you get a certain number of items, he will give you free product/s. You won't be disappointed!
I love to come here Thursday I bring my own food because of the prices and I am retired but I love the atmosphere and the live music .
Back at the Thursday night market 8/14/2025 man what happened again the band sucks it's just getting worse and worse I think I may end my Thursday night market wich I use to love to attend but the music has been horrible from a full dance floor to the same lady who will dance to anything my rating went from five to a zero came back to Thursday night market and finally they brought back better music that people can relate to and dance to major difference stay with the good music and keep people coming out to enjoy the market
