Farmers Market
Tucson, Arizona
Heirloom Farmers Market- Rillito Park pairs a Sunday shopping routine with a stated nonprofit mission to create “a vibrant food system that serves the community”. Set in the southeast corner of Rillito Park along The Loop, this Tucson market brings together farmers, ranchers, and artisan food purveyors for a weekly mix of local produce and fresh cuisine. The setting gives the market a distinct Tucson feel: a park location, a bike-trail edge, and a lineup built around food rather than general merchandise. If you want a market centered on produce, prepared foods, and pantry staples in one stop, this one is designed that way.
Rillito Park’s vendor mix leans heavily toward ready-to-eat foods, baked goods, preserved items, and produce-oriented shopping rather than crafts. That makes it a strong fit for visitors who want to pick up ingredients and breakfast or lunch in the same pass through the market.
The named vendors show how broad the food focus is here, from tamales and ceviche to focaccia, kimchi, salsa, coffee, bakery items, and sharpening services folded into the same Sunday market run.
Pets are not allowed at this market, a rule posted directly on the Rillito Park page, so plan to leave dogs at home. The market is located at 4502 North 1st Avenue in the southeast corner of Rillito Park, along the bike trail known as The Loop. If you need help locating a vendor once you arrive, Heirloom directs shoppers to the Market Info booth for vendor-finding assistance and updates about what is happening that day. Shopping early is also encouraged because the best selection goes first, especially with seasonal specialties. One more practical note: restrooms are not available on site.
SNAP/EBT is accepted at Heirloom Farmers Market- Rillito Park, and the organization highlights its Double Up Arizona Farm Bucks program for fruits and vegetables. Heirloom also sells market tokens on site and online; each wooden token is worth $5, can be spent at all Heirloom Farmers Markets, never expires, and vendors return any change in cash. WIC families and eligible seniors can also use FMNP benefits accepted at all Heirloom Farmers Markets.
Pets are not allowed at the Rillito Park Farmers Market (effective Sunday, January 1, 2023). Designated service dogs are exempt.

Very friendly farmers and artisans! Cool options to taste desert specialties like elderberry cherry popsicles and prickly pear sorbet. There is free parking and free water. It was a great, family-friendly morning outing for a Sunday. Please note: dogs are not allowed.
One of many farmers markets in Tucson. This is a favorite. It’s every Sunday. There’s often live music with a seating area and tables. Go early for the best selection. Some vendors run out quickly. There is a variety of fresh produce, baked goods, and food to go.
Heirloom promotes farmer’s markets in a number of locations around Tucson but Rillito Pk is the largest. We go there every Sunday morning for fresh vegetables, bread, and other delectables. It’s very well organized. Vendors are usually in the same spot every week. There is a variety of cuisines available from Ukrainian pierogi, to burritos, to freshly baked pizza ready to enjoy. In the center there are tables where we sit to eat and watch some local musicians perform. A very enjoyable market and a great way to gather farm fresh produce.
Love this place. They always have great Fruit and Vegetables. Wisconson Cheddar Cheese Curds are fantastic. Make sure you visit the booth sign in and they will give you 2- $5.00 coupons for food (Including Cheese Curds) LOL
We love going to the farmers market on the 2nd Sundays with the kids. Great free program and the live music is always wonderful. We loved when Mr Nature played!!! The staff is always very kind. Some vendor are pricey but that seems to be the norm for farmers' markets anywhere we have been.
