Farmers Market
Payson, Arizona
50
816 S Beeline Hwy is home to Payson Farmers Market, a Saturday market that moved from its original Community Presbyterian Church parking lot to a more prominent Beeline Highway location as it grew from 12 vendors to more than 50. John and Lorian Roethlein conceived the market at the end of 2008, and it opened on July 4, 2009 with a stated focus on expanding access to fresh local food in Payson. That history still reads in the market’s mix: a rural-market selection shaped around produce, foods, and health-related products rather than a narrow single-category lineup.
The product mix at Payson Farmers Market leans broad by design, with the market describing a selection built around produce, foods, and health-related products and a vendor policy that limits overlap in like items. That approach helps explain why the lineup spans pantry staples, prepared-food ingredients, and farm products instead of repeating the same few categories.
Live local music is scheduled every Saturday, adding a regular event element alongside the vendor mix rather than limiting the morning to shopping alone.
No dogs are allowed, which is the detail most likely to change how you plan your Saturday visit. The market runs at 816 S. Beeline Hwy in Payson and lists a phone number for day-of navigation or vendor questions at (520) 237-6525. Payson Farmers Market also describes itself as entering its 18th season and operating with 50-plus vendors at its Beeline Highway location, so the scale is larger than a pop-up with only a handful of tables. One other useful detail from the market’s vendor policy: it intentionally manages duplication and overlap of like items, aiming for a wider spread of products across the market.
Payson Farmers Market accepts SNAP/EBT and is also certified for the Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program and WIC, tying food access programs directly into the market’s regular shopping flow. The market identifies these certifications as part of its effort to give low-income residents access to fresh food.
Live local music is offered every Saturday. The market is described as a gathering place with entertainment and community participation.

Such great stand with amazing and super friendly people. The food was delicious at the Philly cheese steak spot. I personally love to visit the hoppy goat farm. Got their celery salt, some spring onion an beautiful blue an Italian mushrooms.
It’s a wonderful place to buy natural, genuinely produced products from passionate entrepreneurs. We had the pleasure of purchasing items from Cece’s Remedies, including their herb-infused whipped tallow butter, a favorite for keeping skin moisturized and a soothing lavender lip balm. Both products reflect true quality. We highly recommend visiting their stall at the Payson Farmers Market and seeing the products for yourself you won’t be disappointed!
Always something awesome at Payson farmers market. Last Saturday I got a giant zucchini (my favorite squash) for $1! Also got garlic flowers, which were amazing on pizza I made at home. Will be back 😊
Very nice farmers market didn't disappoint. We came for the vendor that's in the north Scottsdale FM in the winter we love his samosas and Mediterranean choices so good. Bought fresh veggies and goat cheese from others.
Great place to try something that you may not find anywhere else except at a Farmers Market. In summer months, when the Valley is too hot, many vendors fill this area in Payson with their talents and wonderful variety of goodies. Really glad we stopped by. Met so many wonderful small business owners and brought home so many good memories.
