Farmers Market
Anchorage, Alaska
Anchorage Farmers Market runs Saturdays from May through October at 1420 Cordova Street, in the Central Lutheran Church parking lot at 15th Avenue and Cordova Street. The market’s vendor roster points to a distinctly Alaska mix: working farms, flower growers, a food truck, and a bakery that joined for the full season in 2025. One visitor described finding bread and eggs alongside salsas, jams, honey, vegetables, and plants depending on the booth and time of year, which fits the market’s practical, seasonal feel. With free parking and a one-day-a-week schedule, it works well as a focused Saturday stop rather than an all-week market routine.
The vendor list leans heavily toward farms and growers, with flowers and edible goods sharing space with prepared food and baked desserts. A recent visitor also noted that plants, a vegetable stand, cake, and fermented foods can shape what the market feels like on a given Saturday.
One visitor said they come mainly for bread and eggs, and also mentioned salsas, jams, honey, vegetables, and plants depending on the booth and time of year. That lines up with a market where the weekly mix can shift, but farm stands and growers remain the backbone.
No dogs are allowed, which is the detail most likely to change how you plan your Saturday visit. The market is set in the Central Lutheran Church parking lot at 15th Avenue and Cordova Street, and the site notes easy access with free parking. It operates once a week on Saturdays, so timing matters more here than at a multi-day market. The market also reports no restrooms, another useful point to factor in before you arrive. If you are shopping for a specific seller, the roster includes farms, flower growers, prepared food, and seasonal additions such as Want More Cake, Co., which joined for the full 2025 season.
QUEST is accepted by some vendors, and WIC and Senior Farmers Market coupons are accepted by some vendors as well. The market also confirms SNAP/EBT acceptance, so shoppers using food assistance have options here, though acceptance is vendor-specific rather than universal across every stand.

Cute but lacking! Only about 5-6 stands when I went. Maybe I was there on an earlier day but was hoping there'd be more to check out. (It was mostly plants, maybe a vegetable stand and cake stand and fermented foods stand.)
I go there mainly for bread and eggs, both of which are amazing. You can also pick up salsas, jams, honey, vegetables and plants depending on the booth and time of year.
This is one of my favorite markets in Anchorage. It's a small space but don't let it fool you, they have tons of variety here. Local fruit/veggies, cut flowers, jarred goods like pickles & jams, grains, etc.
The Anchorage Farmers Market at Cordova Street is small, but full of variety. You'll find vendors selling fresh cut Alaska flowers, family owned farms selling vegetables, and of course at least one vendor selling food. If you're looking for a quick stop on the way home then I recommend this Anchorage Farmers Market. My wife made a beet salad and an omelet from duck eggs; both were full of flavor. Remember to bring a bag to help carry everything. If this review was helpful please click the Like button.
We went on opening day. Maybe 5 tents of plants. We were disappointed but I'm sure it gets better as summer continues. ***we will definitely try again next summer, a bit later!
