Farmers Market
Northport, Alabama
4150 5th Street anchors this market in Northport, with weekly shopping split between a Saturday morning market and a Tuesday afternoon market. The market’s materials put fresh produce at the center and pair that with payment assistance programs, including SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. That combination makes this a practical stop for shoppers planning around both schedule and budget, especially with two regular market days and a long vendor roster tied to seasonal events.
The market’s own materials emphasize homegrown produce, while the vendor roster connected to Strawberry Fest shows a broader mix that includes farm stands, prepared foods, sweets, candles, soap, pottery, art, and home goods. Names on that list suggest a market where produce vendors share space with specialty food makers and craft sellers rather than a produce-only setup.
Parking is the detail most likely to shape your arrival. The main parking lot entrances are at Jack Warner Parkway and 21st Avenue and at Queen City Avenue, with the 21st Avenue entrance recommended. Handicap parking is closest to the building at the Queen City Avenue entrance for vehicles with proper handicap decals. Additional parking is available in four nearby public lots: the Tuscaloosa Public Library, the Mildred Warner Westervelt Transportation Museum, the Visitor Center lot, and the lot just east of the River Walk pedestrian bridge. Dogs are welcome, and restrooms are not available on site.
The market accepts SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, giving shoppers multiple ways to use nutrition benefits on market purchases. Payment assistance is a visible part of the market’s own planning materials rather than a side note, so shoppers using those programs can build a visit around them.

Lots of veggies, baked goods, pork skins, jams, etc. Art items also for sale. Prices reasonable. Sellers friendly. Area clean. Parking a little bit of a challenge due to crowd.
My experience was very similar show me the produce are a little overpriced but that's what you expect from homemade unique quality products , very creative very friendly a little pricey but again very unique Country Kitchen Style
A good selection of farm fresh grown produce. It's very busy at opening time. 8am-12:30pm according to website. I bought tomatoes that are delicious!
Cute, nice pavilion setting. Fresh fruits, veg, honey, artisan preserves, crafts and baking goods. As well as really nice people, treasures, fresh eggs and meats. Ample parking and parks nearby.
I have been going here since they built in Northport. They are all very nice and friendly. But I was concerned when I went over this morning and none of the vendors or customers had on ma sks.
